Highridge Utd FC

PD&CL was contracted to construct a new, state-of-the-art facility for Highridge Utd FC, encompassing modern changing rooms and a vibrant social club area. This project was made possible through the generous funding provided by the Football Foundation.

Construction presented unique challenges. The site exhibited poor drainage, necessitating the construction of a substantial soakaway to manage surface runoff from the football pitches, complemented by an open swale to effectively channel rainwater away from the building. Foundation installation proved demanding, requiring excavation to a depth of 2 meters and subsequent elevation of the building to ensure connection to services due to stringent invert level constraints. The building itself was constructed using traditional methods, featuring cavity walls and an insulated roof. The interior was meticulously designed and finished to adhere to stringent Football Association guidelines. Upon project completion, the Football Foundation, the project’s funding body, expressed immense satisfaction, commending the exceptional quality and finish of the building.
